Walk in the rains

While shopping for stuff the other day we saw these really cute raincoats for kids, and picked up one for Ria, a cheerful yellow-green one with Tinkerbell in the forest. She is very happy with her new raincoat, and wanted to wear it out in the rains ever since we got it. So today evening when it was raining, but not too heavily, I figured it would be a good time to take her for a small walk. We walked around in our building campus, her in her raincoat, me holding an umbrella. She was really happy, and held my hand and kept chatting about a lot of stuff. Every once in a while raindrops would fall on her nose and tickle her and she stopped and rubbed her nose on my palm. She looked so cute doing that! Somehow it was such a happy feeling, just me and her walking around in the rains, holding hands and chatting. Eventually after doing three rounds of the building campus, she wanted to venture out and go get some cheese balls. So we went to the neighbourhood shop, which she calls her “chips ka dukaan”, and got her stuff. And then I brought her back, one happy kid holding on to her pack of cheeseballs.
