Shoes …

Today evening we dropped off Ria’s grandparents who were visiting, and then she looked quite upset about them having left. To cheer her up we took her to a shoe store (she loves her shoes and shoe stores as well). Once inside, she was all charged up seeing so many shoes. While I was looking at some shoes for myself, she picked up a pair of electric blue stilettos and insisted they were ok for her … kept holding on to them refusing to let go. Later we steered her to the kids section, where she went gaga over some shoes with “tartons” and “yaggies” on them (that’s cartoons and animals respectively). Finally we picked up a pair of flip-flops for her to use at home, a cute green pair with butterflies and flowers. She held on to them and refused to part with them at the billing counter too. The guy had to quickly scan the label on one of them while she held on to the other, glaring at him. Back in the car, she wore her “bootoos” as she calls them, blissfully happy till she dozed off to sleep.
